Community shares report schools in Selangor and Melaka, and all schools in Negri Sembilan, will close on 9 October as haze and air quality deteriorate. The directives extend the closure wave beyond Johor's two-day shutdown already on the board, and follow the Selangor MB's meeting with the state education department. Commenters are urging a nationwide closure. Which authorities issued the notices is not stated in the posts.
