An r/malaysia share reports Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan saying Malaysia will raise transboundary haze at the upcoming Asean foreign ministers' meeting, noting existing Asean mechanisms do not classify haze as a natural disaster and stronger regional solutions are needed. Firefighting in Indonesia is reported hindered by poor visibility limiting aerial operations. Tracked as a diplomatic facet of the ongoing haze episode, distinct from the bilateral assistance-offer and air-quality topics on the board.
