Maxis DNS reportedly fails to resolve .xyz and .services domains; whole TLDs suspected blocked

An r/malaysia user helping a friend reports Maxis DNS no longer resolving domains on the .xyz and .services top-level domains, cutting access to a marketing site and a hosted portal. Switching the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 restored resolution. The user suspects a blocking misconfiguration affecting entire TLDs and says other ISPs may be affected but could not verify.
